Real Estate at the Lake: What's Coming for 2015?

It seems that no matter how far in advance we begin planning for Christmas, it still sneaks up on us out of nowhere. Now here we are, caught up in the throes of last-minute wrapping presents and baking Christmas cookies, all the while dreaming of Santa's visit (and a day off!).

Reasons To Buy a New Home In Early 2015


1. 3% Down Payments Are Now Available!
Gone are the days of scraping together 20% of the total price of the home to provide a down payment. Earlier in December, Fannie May and Freddie Mac formally announced the introduction of 3% down payments to home buyers in the United States. Now, home buyers with good credit history will be able to afford the homes they've been dreaming of. 2. Interest Rates Are Still Low (But They're Climbing)
The housing market hit an all-time low in 2011, but it has been slowly recovering since then. Recently, we finally rounded the corner. The housing market at the Lake of the Ozarks has seen wonderful growth over the last year, and that growth is only expected to increase. As the housing market continues to regain strength, interest rates are expected to climb. They are still low right now, though, so take this opportunity to lock in an affordable rate!

3. Home Prices Are Expected Rise
As the housing market continues to improve, sellers may not feel the same sense of urgency to sell their home as quickly as they possibly can. Consequently, sellers are likely to ask higher prices for their homes and wait for the right buyer to come along. Susan Spica - Selling Real Estate at the Lake for 25 Years!

Hello! My name is Susan Spica and I would like to officially welcome you to my very first blog post. I'm excited to connect with you and help you buy or sell your home at the Lake of the Ozarks. Here's a quick overview of my experience and what I can do to help you meet all of your real estate dreams!

My Experience

I have been selling real estate at the Lake of the Ozarks for the last twenty-five years. I work in the entire Lake Area, including Osage Beach, Lake Ozark, Four Seasons, Porto Cima, The Villages, Sunrise Beach, Laurie, Camdenton, Hurricane Deck, the North Shore, and Eldon. As a licensed real estate agent at the Lake, I have experience buying and selling waterfront homes, condominiums, and lots.

I am a licensed agent with BerkShire Hathaway HomeServices. Through them, I have access to a wide variety of resources that help me meet (and exceed) my client's needs and expectations.
